| Omg, the NPC and the book covers look amazing! Really nice job! I don't know if you've written the book description, but it is done well. | |

| Thanks Raziel! Well there's a total of 12 books, 3 of which came with the game meaning I had to create 9 more of them. Not only did I choose covers, backs, and spines of the books but I also created new halarious descriptions for each one, mirroring the dark comedy of Bloodlines. It turned out REALLY well.
Here's a breakdown of each book...
Low Grade Computers for Grandma - Raises Computer Knowledge The Art of Impossible - Raises Dodge Talent GUNS, Who Should Have Them? - Raises Firearms Skill Hiding in Plain Sight - Raises Stealth Skill
Mid Grade Fight for your Life - Raises Brawl Skill Get Rich Cheating - Raises Finance Knowledge The Complete Book of Knife Fighting - Raises Melee Skill The Complete Book of Locks and Locksmithing - Raises Security Skill
High Grade The Cowboy's Guide to Cyberspace by Case - Raises Computer Knowledge Bad Monkey No Banana - Raises Dodge Talent The Gun Digest Book of the GLOCK - Raises Firearms Skill Medieval Combat - Raises Melee Skill

| Awesome job, mate! I think they cost too much, but since the email college will be erased (or so i hear) it fits well | |

| Soni,
Well leaving them still findable in the maps I think would be a bit overpowered, simply because their value is so high they would be like finding a $600 gem, so I’d prefer just making the books buyable instead of findable. Every time I’ve played Nines has always done a stat bump for brawl instead of giving me a book, maybe that’s because I’ve always played the BASIC patch instead of the PLUS version.
Philosopher,
The cost of the books aren’t set in stone, major game balancing will need to take place before the exact amount is decided. I’m hoping we can narrow in the amount during Open Beta testing by the community but if not we can always change the pricing with a patch or version 1.1.

| YES MAJORILY!
Haggle is the reason why the books are being setup this way. Up until TFN, no mod, expansion, or even the vanilla Bloodlines game have ever addressed the Haggle issue in that Haggle is worthless. I’ve played vanilla Bloodlines, Unofficial Patches, created CE, played Clan Quest Mod, and none of these ever made Haggle a worthwhile investment for your character.
Well TFN picks up with CE 1.2 left off so Haggle is a big part of what I’m trying to accomplish here. Changing Barter, Finance, and all of the prices of weapons, ammo, armor, items, etc… is what I’m all about. So yes, Haggle and/or Research will be a viable route to take for a character build. If done right you won’t be wasting your XP investing in it. And no more should a character who could care less about money finish the game with $10,000 of unspent cash.

it was never useless for me Then we play very differnt styles. At least towards the end, I'm always swimming in money, even with the college from CE 1.3.

| Why in the world would you need to raise haggle in the vanilla game? All I ever needed money for were armor and a couple of blood packs, and I've always had more than enough money for both without even trying... Venus ftw... Every weapon you will ever need, you find. Ammo for most is aplenty. Plus, I always use the cheat for infinite katana ammo anyway... That, plus armor and (maybe) blood packs, is everything you ever buy from anybody. So... why raise haggle ever? | |

Best news since we learned Angelina Jolie is a lesbian dominatrix. Seriously, anything making the unloved skills more useful is great. I don't think I've ever, in all the times I've played VtM, devoted any XP to raising Haggle.

But we will in TFN, so Is money going to be generally harder to come by, or is it too difficult to change how much money the character receives, whether found, given, earned or received for selling goods?
